JAMES KERN HAYGOOD, JR. (retired)
Mr. Haygood officially retired from active practice effective June 1, 2018, after nearly 60 years with the firm. He maintains an office at the firm and serves as an adviser and a resource to the members of the firm.
WILLIAM A. CLEVELAND
William A. Cleveland was born in Lafayette, Alabama, and grew up in Wadley, Alabama. Upon graduation from Wadley High School, he attended Auburn University, from which he graduated in 1975 with a BS degree in Accounting. Billy entered law school at the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University and graduated in 1978.
ROGER W. PIERCE
Roger W. Pierce was born in Auburn, Alabama and grew up primarily in Tallahasee, Florida and Richmond, Virginia. Roger graduated from Hugenot High School in Richmond, VA and attended the University of South Carolina as well as Virginia Commonwealth University, ultimately graduating from Auburn University in 1976 with a B.S. degree in Business Administration.
PHILIP ALLEN THOMPSON
Philip Allen Thompson was born in Auburn, Alabama and grew up in Huntsville, Alabama. Phil graduated from Huntsville High School in 1978 and attended Auburn University where he earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice/Political Science. While at Auburn, Phil was a member of Sigma Nu social fraternity.
VAN C. GHOLSTON
Van C. Gholston was raised in Bullock County, Alabama, obtained his BS from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama, in 1970, his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in 1973 and his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University, School of Law New York City, New York in 1974.
MICHAEL SHORT
MICHAEL E. SHORT was born in Grove Hill, Alabama and grew up in Monroeville, Alabama. Michael graduated from Auburn University in 1994 with a Business Administration (Marketing) degree and later received his Masters of Education from Auburn University in 1996.
SHELBY MCNEILL
SHELBY MCNEILL was raised in Montgomery and Selma, Alabama. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Auburn University in May 2012. She also received a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn. In May 2015, Shelby graduated from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, where she served as Student Works Editor for the Faulkner Law Review and was a Public Interest Law Fellow.
